This was an incredible experience thanks to our amazing guide Alirijo. He was kind, patient, encoraging and incredibly competent. As a couple in our 70s, we were nervous about the altitudes at which we would be hiking. Alirijo assured us that Activexpedition's "acclimitazation process" works, and it did! We were successful with all the hikes. If I ever return to S. America, it will be with Activexpeditions. Highly recommend!

Just returned from an amazing week with Jose and Jorge from Active Expeditions. They went out of their way to show us the most rad trails in Ecuador! The accommodations were top notch and all the people were so nice. Not once did I feel unsafe. I can’t say enough about how awesome this trip was! Everybody needs to go to Ecuador!

This trip was one of the best I’ve ever taken. This was my first big solo trip, and as a queer female I was a bit nervous. I had just finished traveling with my partner, who enjoys a slower pace of traveling compared to my GO-GO-GO mindset and I found ActivExpeditions and thought this could be the perfect adrenaline and outdoor experience, and boy was I right. I signed up for the trip about 5 days in advance, and was informed I was the only traveler who had signed up thus far! Of course, I had to pay a bit extra because of this, but Christian (company owner) was still down to show me an adventure. I didn’t realize this adventure would be quite so personalized, however! My guide, Lobito (Andres), was so attentive, hilarious, and willing to make my experience as unique as could be! He knows the Banos area very well, and he coordinated with his boss to add experiences to our itinerary based on what I said I was interested in. My week with ActivExpeditions included downhill mountain biking two volcanoes, climbing up to 17,500 feet at Cotopaxi, kayaking down an amazing river in the amazon, seeing multiple waterfalls, swimming in rivers and hot springs, making chocolate from cocoa beans, and getting to know the LEGEND, Lobito. He is professional, knowledgable, and overall such an incredible human. I felt so comfortable just hanging out with him and hearing about Ecuador from his eyes. This was my 4th private adventure with ActivExpedition Adventure! They just keep getting even more epic! From exploring the artful Community 13 in Medellin, to mountain biking in Guatape and then doing the Lost City trek in Columbia; to kayaking & the chill side of Paraguay and wandering around Asunción; to hiking & biking some amazing natural spots in Brazil Iguazu Falls & the rocky coasts of Florianopolis this experience was phenomenal. Pushing personal edges, soaking up the natural beauty, enjoying the local food & learning about the history and culture what more could you want! Already working on trip #5!

I had an amazing trip to the Galapagos Islands with Activexpeditons! I am a fairly well-traveled solo female traveler that had never been on a group tour and I was pleasantly surprised with how wonderful our group was and how liberating it was to have someone organizing everything especially in the Galapagos where planning a trip seemed a bit daunting. Special thanks to Christian for his expertise on the Galapagos, from animals we saw to where to get the best local food! He is a funny and kind person and made the trip seamless, allowing us to focus on having fun and enjoying all the Galapagos offers. Also thanks to Alex, who organized the journey and made sure I had exactly what I needed for the trip, answered any questions I had, and also handled transportation for me to and from the airports. I full-heartedly recommend Activexpeditions for a fabulous adventure!

This was my 10th week-long MTB trip and one of my favorites. It was the best one I've ever had in terms of the friendliness of all the people associated with ActivExpeditions- Jose (the main guide), other guides, hotel hosts, the drivers, and Christian (the CEO) himself. They all made me feel very welcome and safe, went beyond my expectations, from the airport pick-up to the airport drop-off. The riding was different every day and great for my level of riding (intermediate to advanced). We didn't get totally lucky with the weather but that only added to the adventure. The hotel accommodations were by far the best I've ever stayed at on an MTB trip, especially the 5 star Quito hotel and the historic hacienda which was like a museum. The cultural experiences were all very memorable. I took tons of photos and got a few souvenirs (including thoughtful gifts from ActivExpeditions). I hope I get to go back for more trips with them.

My trip to Argentina was absolutely perfect, all thanks to Active Expedition. My wife and I, had nothing to worry about.
Excursions, transportation and activities were all handled. All the people we interacted with were very kind and made the trip memorable. This was my second trip with Active Expeditions and I Highly recommend them.
