Full Itinerary
Our Adventure begins driving southeast of Quito to a region known as the Avenue of Volcanoes. Here we will hike through the rich cloud forest within the volcanos namesake reserve. Its last eruption some 100 thousand years ago left a wide open caldera that today is home of many species of flora and fauna, incluidng the countries national bird: the condor. Our guide with teach us about the biodiversity of the area throughout our hike. As we wander upwards towards the summit we will be taken through layers of varying terrain, of cloudy forest, grassy sierra and sparce rocky volanic land that makes you feel as if you are in different worlds. This hike will take about six hours. We will have lunch with a stellar view of the Andes and then head back to Quito
