Weather in the Amazon.- The weather in the Ecuadorian Amazon is generally characterized by a warm and humid tropical climate year-round. Average temperatures hover around 25°C (77°F), but daytime highs can reach up to 32°C (89°F). Nighttime temperatures are typically milder, ranging from 20-23°C (68-73°F). While there isn't a distinct dry season, some months experience less rainfall than others. Generally, the "drier" months are from December to February, although rain can still occur. The rainiest months are typically from March to July. Humidity levels are consistently high, often reaching 100% at night, leading to morning mists. Rainfall is frequent and can occur at any time, contributing to the lush rainforest ecosystem. It's important to be prepared for both sunshine and rain, regardless of the time of year you visit.
