Carlos Burbano has been guiding for more than 15 years and is an active cycling enthusiast. Having worked in a bike shop in Toronto at a young age and competed in mountain biking races, he is always ready to lead groups with the enthusiasm. His deep love and commitment for this activity shows through making him the ideal guide for any cycling adventure!

Cesar Romero has been an avid outdoor enthusiast over the last 25 years, having traversed not only his native Ecuador but also Peru on bike. This grand passion pushed Cesar to study Ecotourism and turn his hobby into a career. His in-depth knowledge on topics such as management of protected areas, animal identification, and the ecosystems of Ecuador along with his fondness for extreme sports makes him the perfect person to guide you on your Activexpediton. Cesar also is the man who takes care of our fleet of bikes, always making sure they are in tip-top shape. He lives with his family near the Equator monument in the north of the capital, Quito.

Juan David Mantilla Perez, 38, has been a guide within the country for 16 years. Very well-rounded Juan David is passionate about many things including meeting new people, hiking local trails, playing football, and of course: ECUADOR! Although he has a deep love for every place in the country his favorite is Yasuni National Park. For him, Yasuni is more than an ecological and wildlife paradise but also the perfect place to enter into the natural world, recharge, and be born again before tackling the challenges of everyday life.

33 years old, has been working in the wild and ever-changing Ecuadorian tourism industry for several years. He is on a mission to help you become connected, immersed in, and inspired by all the country has to offer; from the colors, people, and music, to the breathtaking scenery. His degree in Tourism and Ecology gives him a deep understanding to the smaller and many times over-looked details of the culture and environment that make up the masterpiece that is Ecuador. Daniel is sure to make your experience one for the books.

At 37, born in Cuenca, Rafael has been guiding exploratory and culture tours in Ecuador for the last 13 years. A big fan of soccer, kayaking, hiking and other sports, you will always find him out and about. He is extremely professional and punctual which our guests absolutely adore!

Born and raised in Quito, Ecuador Jose has been in the tourism industry since 1999 having worked in several related fields, most notably as a hospitality director in the Galapagos Islands.

Jose has been leading groups through the country since 2009 and is passionate about the culture, food, and nature wonders of the place he calls home.

Our CEO Christian Valencia, coming from a professional background through the tourism university in Quito-Ecuador, has been in the industry for fifteen years and has lead around seven hundred expeditions involving over ten thousand happy travelers from all over the world. After being a freelance guide for eight years for many travel companies mostly from the US, in 2012 he created Ecuador Pure Life and in 2018 Adventure Journeys, very successful Tour Operators, where he guided and developed one-of-a-kind adventure itineraries. Now Christian has embarked on this new epic project to focus on multi activity expeditions for small groups.
